2021 - Year of the Ox

In 2021, the Chinese New Year begins on Friday 12. It will end on January 30, 2022. 

This will be the Year of the Ox. People born in ‘Ox years’ are said to have an honest nature, be diligent, dependable, strong and determined. If you were born in 2009, that may well describe you. Women born in Ox years are said to place great importance on their children's education. The Ox lies in second position in the Chinese Zodiac after the Rat and before the Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Goat, Monkey, Rooster, Dog, and Pig. In China and beyond, it is estimated that over 2 billion people will celebrate the festival in some way.
