News Bites Media - Magazine for primary school students

ISSUE NO. 31, APRIL, 2022

Hey there, News Biters!

We hope all is well with you and our front-page trickery didn’t throw you too much! Yes, April 1st is a day that excites, fools and frustrates many people around the world – especially those on the receiving end of jokes, gags and set-ups. Wait until you see what pranks have been pulled in the past by organisations and businesses around the world in our April Fools feature on pages 12 and 13. Spaghetti Trees and Men in Bottles? Surely no one would fall for such stories.

We have all your other favourites in here, needless to say. Check out our WWW News on page 6 and decide which ones you think are wacky, weird and wonderful. In STEM Matters, Dr Martin looks at crickets and where their ears can be found. You might think he’s playing an April Fools’ trick when you read what he has to say, but don’t worry – he’s telling the truth.

In sport, we have the latest in world football, a new wacky sport called Kabaddi for you to consider, as well as predictions on Premier League games coming up in April.

As always, if you have book reviews, poems, stories or news you’d like to share with fellow readers around the world, don’t be shy – you can email them to hello@newsbitesmedia.com or drop us a comment on the website. We would LOVE to hear from you.

See you next month,

Stephen
