Bruce Jun Fan Lee was born in California, USA, in 1940, but grew up in Hong Kong.
Bruce began acting in movies at a young age and, when he was 13, started learning the martial art of Wing Chun Kung fu.
At the age of 18, he left for the United States and began studying philosophy. Bruce then started teaching martial arts and landed a role in a TV series called The Green Hornet.
When this ended, Bruce returned to Hong Kong where he made 3 very successful movies.
Before long, Hollywood came calling and Bruce ended up starring in Enter the Dragon.
Sadly, Bruce died on July 20, 1973, just days before the movie was released.
